As time marches on, so too does technologies struggle to be truly ubiquitous in every aspect of our daily lives.
Over the last 5 years there have been three primary choices for both personal and professional computing; Desktop, Laptop and the more recent arrival Tablet. With the advent of ARM processors in 2010, and the consumer push for higher performance devices 2013 sees the second generation of fully fledged Windows tablet operating systems hit shelves, workplaces and homes equipped with the latest Haswell i-series chips.
Workplaces, the scariest label ever affixed to a piece of new technology. As the admin you have; security flaws, lack of product support, new procedures, a mountain of QA, 2000 pages of Terms and Conditions to read through *gasp* and.. the boss already has one. Well that’s going to be an awkward conversation.
What if it didn’t have to be? What if that shiny new Surface Pro 2 could run all of your; Legacy & Corporate applications, Security suite and VPN software side by side with personal and never have the two cross over? Safe and secure from home to café to an airport to work or anywhere else that portable tech finds itself. Wouldn’t you rather your conversation be, “I’ll have it back to you in 10 minutes” than “Well I don’t really know how to deal with it so, you can’t use it in here” I know I would! and next year when the next generation is out?
BYOD is happening, new tech is happening and it’s happening much faster than you can read those Terms and Conditions, If you want to keep up – we have the answer.
